Saurabh Shukla recently sat down for an exclusive interview with TopMob. He recounted his experience working with Ranbir Kapoor in Barfi, Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2, and Ajay Devgn in Raid.
To start with, Barfi himself acknowledged that the movie marked a turning point in his acting career. It served to boost his self-assurance as an artist, leaving him deeply grateful towards Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor for their roles in this transformation.
Shukla stated, “Ranbir, being my co-star, chatted with me extensively, and played a pivotal role during a crucial time in my career. Since Ranbir was an excellent conversationalist, well-read, and fashionable, he greatly impacted my life. I had numerous scenes alongside him in the movie, and I cherished our actor bond. It was a feeling I hadn’t experienced before.
A notable movie that significantly boosted Saurabh Shukla’s reputation and success was Jolly LLB and its subsequent installment, in which he portrayed a court judge. Interestingly, Saurabh initially declined the role due to his belief that there wouldn’t be much for him to do in it. However, upon being persuaded by the director, Subhash Kapoor, to read the script, Saurabh was ultimately convinced.
In the upcoming movie Jolly LLB 3 featuring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the actor involved shared that he found working alongside these two individuals enjoyable. He elaborated by stating that they are intriguing personalities who approach their craft with dedication and professionalism.
As a devoted follower, I can attest that one remarkable trait of Akshay Kumar is his unwavering commitment to his craft. He embodies this by ensuring that he never departs from the set until all his tasks for the day are completed. In essence, when he arrives on set, whether it’s at 9 a.m. or any other time, he prepares in the vanity van and stays put until his work is done, with the exception of lunch breaks. Even if he doesn’t have a scheduled shot, he will stay behind, continuing to work diligently, always remaining on set.
Besides them, Shukla additionally shared that collaborating with Ajay Devgn on the film “Raid” was nothing short of extraordinary.
Last spotted in the movie “Bhediya”, Saurabh has a lineup of future projects ahead. These include “Jolly LLB 3”, “No Rules for Fools”, and “Identity Card”.
