Previously this year, it was first revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had successfully assembled an impressive cast for his upcoming project – Love And War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Shortly after, the filmmaker confirmed a release date of March 20, 2026 for this highly anticipated romantic and action-packed production. Just last month, we shared news that filming for Love And War was set to begin in Mumbai on October 10. Unfortunately, due to heavy rains in Mumbai, the start date had to be postponed. Today, we bring you exclusive details about the rescheduled shooting schedule of Love And War.
As per our sources, it appears that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to start shooting “Love and War” from November 7th in Mumbai, with Ranbir Kapoor. The production for the set has already commenced, and Bhansali is eagerly awaiting to kick off the filming of “Love and War” alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Initially, Ranbir will shoot his individual scenes for a couple of weeks, followed by Vicky Kaushal joining the team. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt is expected to start working on “Love and War” after completing her work on “Alpha,” which she is expected to wrap up in the first week of December, as indicated by our development sources.
For a year starting in November 2024, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film titled “Love And War” will be filmed across India. Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal have set aside over 200 days for shooting this movie up until October next year. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor plans to finish his part of the project by either July or August 2025. After that, he has agreed to shoot for “Ramayana: Part 2” starting in July/August 2025. Following this, he will work on two additional high-profile projects – Dhoom 4 and Animal Park.
Alia Bhatt had initially planned to start working on a romantic movie in November 2025, but she’s now re-evaluating her plans following the conclusion of Love And War. Similarly, Vicky Kaushal is also looking at several projects to begin post-November 2025. As for Love And War, it is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali who has chosen a self-financing method for this production. Although another studio may join in soon, they are currently moving forward with the self-finance approach. The film is highly anticipated for 2026 and will be released on March 20, 2026, taking advantage of the extended holiday season.
