As an ardent fan of both Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, I find their approach to the world of cinema truly inspiring. Their unwavering dedication to their craft, coupled with their humility and resilience, is nothing short of remarkable.
Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are preparing to debut on the big screen together in Stree 2. Most recently, they participated in TopMob’s Masterclass discussion, where they candidly discussed their strategies for handling criticism and whether they harbor any fears or insecurities.
Rao explained that he frequently encounters criticism, stating, “People seem to write anything, just for the sake of it, because they crave attention. In this digital age, especially negative comments, are read a lot more than positive ones. I believe some individuals may choose to express negativity throughout the year for this reason.”
Rajkummar places trust in the people he reads. In his own words, “I don’t read every piece of information someone puts out, including my reviews. I only read a few select pieces, those from people whom I believe understand and can provide meaningful insights. As long as the feedback is constructive, it helps me grow and learn things that I might not have considered otherwise.”
Shraddha Kapoor expressed her support for Rajkummar’s ideas, saying, “I trust in the affection of the viewers. If you receive that love, you’re truly fortunate in life… For me, it’s all about love. The audience is the backbone of films. They are the rulers and queens. As long as I am keeping them entertained and they are satisfied with my work.”
Shraddha, who’s 37 years old, acknowledged that her audience offers feedback, which she makes an effort to engage with via her social media platforms. She emphasized the significance of discerning constructive criticism from less useful comments. In her words, “It’s crucial to determine what criticism is worth considering and what isn’t.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’d express it this way: From an early age, Rajkummar Rao nurtured a passion for acting. In my 10th and 11th grades, I already knew this was the path I wanted to follow. It wasn’t about pursuing fame or wealth; rather, I fell in love with the raw beauty of the craft itself. The thrill of embodying different characters on stage and screen, delving deeply into life through observation, reading, and research, has been an exhilarating journey for me.
“Rajkummar shared that he experiences immense joy from his work and isn’t concerned about public opinions regarding his income, fame, or recognition. He does it daily because of his genuine passion for it, and as long as this feeling persists, there should be no room for insecurity.”
When asked the same question, Shraddha shared her feelings by saying, “I have so much to be grateful for. The love and support I receive is tremendous, making me feel like I belong to my audience. This sensation is incredibly humbling, and it keeps me fully committed to my purpose. Being part of films and living out my childhood dream is a huge opportunity that I don’t take for granted. Instead of feeling insecure, I am filled with gratitude for being able to pursue my passion.”
