In a matter of hours, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set to premiere, and fans are bursting with excitement. With an array of events anticipated in the upcoming series, the character of Annatar Sauron will also be a significant focus, as he harbors a grand scheme in his mind.

Meanwhile, Charlie Vickers, the actor who portrays the intriguing character on screen, recently discussed his feelings about his role in an exclusive conversation with TopMob. While appearing in the interview, Vickers was accompanied by Charles Edwards, who plays Celebrimbor in the highly anticipated series.

When asked about feelings of pressure while portraying the significant character of Sauron in The Lord of the Rings, actor Charlie Vickers seemed calm. He acknowledged that there was indeed a sense of pressure involved in playing this role. Yet, Vickers stressed that rather than dwelling on the legacy, he chose to focus on the captivating tale he had agreed to narrate.

Apart from being an Australian actor, he also expressed gratitude for being included in the Amazon Prime series, stating that pressure either diminishes or is transformed into enthusiasm about the project as he performs his roles during the series production. (Vickers further elaborated by saying)

Additionally, he admired the content the performers got to handle, describing the entire series and its narrative as “remarkable” or “fantastic.”

According to J.D. Payne, the showrunner of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, season 2 will delve deeper into character dynamics, particularly focusing on Annatar Sauron’s intricate psychology. Previews shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 hint that Sauron may be transforming into a blond elf while simultaneously advancing his sinister schemes.

Furthermore, Charles Edwards also referred to the upcoming season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as a “puzzling, intricate, and somewhat psychologically intense thriller.”
