As an ardent fan, I must say that watching Shalini Passi’s journey from being just another name in the art space to becoming a household name after Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives has been nothing short of captivating! Her life seems like a blend of opulence and discipline, a stark contrast to the story she shared about her mother putting chilli powder in her mouth if she uttered anything unpleasant. It’s fascinating how such an upbringing could shape someone into the poised and graceful woman we see today.
Although Shalini Passi is well-known within the art community, it was her appearance on the reality TV show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, that truly catapulted her to fame. In the third season of this web series, now known as Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, she offered a glimpse into her opulent lifestyle. More recently, however, this socialite shared an interesting tidbit about her upbringing: her mother would prevent her from speaking negatively by putting chilli powder in her mouth.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me share a delightful exchange I had recently with Deepak Pareek. In the course of our conversation, I proudly declared, “I hail from the heart of Delhi.” To which he added playfully, “Arre dilli walo ka haal hai, (The way it is with the people of Delhi)”. This phrase captures the spirit and essence of the national capital in a unique and engaging manner.
Though I’m unsure of your meaning, let me clarify: I come from Delhi and it holds a special place in my heart. Is there anything more you’d like to know?
In their conversation, she was queried if she had ever mistreated someone or resorted to vulgar speech around others. The well-known wife from Delhi responded by saying that she is particularly mindful about her habits. Yet, she acknowledged that everyone has likely lashed out with abusive language at some point in their lives, but she personally hasn’t done so.
Speaking of which, she journeyed down memory lane, specifically to her childhood, where a stern mother would make her taste chilli powder when she spoke unkindly. “Indeed, many of us have experienced this at some point,” Passi shared, “but in my case, my mother would force me to taste chilli powder if I said something wrong.
During an exclusive conversation with TopMob, Shalini candidly disclosed that she hasn’t used any medication for the past 25 years. Explaining her rationale, the spouse of businessman Sanjay Passi explained, “I don’t use medications at all; I haven’t taken antibiotics in about 25 years, even when I had a fever of 103 degrees. I prefer to let my body heal itself and boost its immunity. I want my body to fight off the infection on its own.
