After wrapping up the Eras Tour in December, Swift fans were left with unforgettable memories spanning over two years. These moments range from Taylor Swift’s breakup with Joe Alwyn, her new relationship, numerous “22” hat giveaways, and some remarkable surprise song instances. Although we can rewatch the concert film on Disney+, it’s delightful to revisit fan-captured footage as well. In particular, I find myself repeatedly watching a clip from “No Body, No Crime” ever since one fan made an insightful observation about it.
One of the more popular songs off of Taylor Swift’s Evermore album is “No Body, No Crime,” which features HAIM. On some of the dates in which the band of sisters was the opening act, Swift would add that song into her setlist — a huge treat for fans. One Swiftie posted a fun video from one of those nights to Instagram with a comment that I hadn’t really given any thought to:

As a movie-loving enthusiast, I must say that this tune is a chilling depiction of a crime. It’s not exactly hidden; the title itself sets the stage. Taylor Swift draws upon her fascination with true crime narratives and weaves a gripping tale about a man who allegedly murders his wife due to infidelity accusations. The wife’s confidante and sibling then hatch a plan to eliminate the husband, pin the crime on the mistress, and conceal the body – if there’s no body, after all, it can’t be a crime.
It’s not uncommon to find songs about wives getting rid of their unfaithful husbands in country music (like “Goodbye Earl” by The Chicks, “Two Black Cadillacs” by Carrie Underwood, and “Gunpowder and Lead” by Miranda Lambert), but it’s intriguing to consider if these artists dance along with the same enthusiasm when they perform these songs live.
It strikes me as quite amusing. Didn’t Taylor Swift enter a phase where she seems to express strong female emotions? Many fans seemed to appreciate it, even if it didn’t receive as much adoration as her iconic bronze dress – one of the numerous fashion highlights from her Eras Tour. Fans commented:
- The is THE MOST appropriate way to dance to this song. – leighhmcmahon
- Killing men or not she always has to slay – iselgbp
- This is how unhinged I’m going to be in 2025 – through_jens.lens
- This is how I dance to this song also 🙌 – jasminesimanca
- It’s giving Beth Dutton – blush_bookworms
- Pretty sure she did it😂😂 – natashaeliza
In a different phrasing: “No Body, No Crime,” a story published in 2020, mirrored the atmosphere during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour exceptionally well. This is because the moving lyrics of her album “The Tortured Poets Department” not only encapsulate her breakup with actor Joe Alwyn after six years, but also her separation from Matty Healy from The 1975.

Disney+ offers a wide array of content, including Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert film, the entire Marvel and Star Wars universe, and timeless animated classics from the Walt Disney Vault. This family-friendly platform starts at just $9.99 per month for its ad-supported plan. For an ad-free experience, you can opt for a monthly fee of $15.99, or save 16% by pre-paying $159.99 for a year’s subscription. Check it out now!
Looking back is no longer an option for me now, as Taylor Swift has been nearly two years deep into her relationship with Travis Kelce. Nostalgia may still linger from the Eras Tour, but I’m hoping she’s finding peace and relaxation in his company. Meanwhile, I can only imagine the secret plans brewing inside her mind regarding when and how to unveil the release date for Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
