For more than a year now, CBS has cancelled “NCIS: Hawai’i”, the hit spin-off of the original “NCIS” series featuring Vanessa Lachey as the leading lady. Despite her busy schedule due to her work on Netflix’s “Love is Blind”, fans continue to express their hope for its return by using the hashtag #saveNCISHawaii. However, working with Netflix does offer one advantage: she can freely change her hairstyle and enjoy a glamorous bikini moment whenever she pleases.
As a matter of fact, that’s precisely what the actress and reality host did this week. She drastically shortened her hair, which was quite different from how she wore it while portraying Special-Agent-In-Charge Jane Tennant on Hawai’ii. And she put on a black bikini “exclusively for Netflix.” Lachey playfully titled the entire event the “bikini bob.”

Many people, both fans and famous personalities, left comments on the post, with her husband and fellow star from the show “Love is Blind” offering especially flattering remarks. Other celebrities who joined in the conversation included Jennie Garth and makeup artist Liz Castellanos, who played a role in helping her achieve her look for the streaming platform.

It seems that the cancellation of the show left some lingering emotions, as evidenced by Lachey and her co-star Jason Antoon expressing sadness upon its conclusion. More recently, the actor even posted a picture of the show’s old location, now deserted and vacant after years of bustling activity.
In her own stride, Lachey has advanced with her duties at Netflix. This summer, Season 9 of the popular series “Love is Blind” has been filming in Denver, following the announcement of Season 8’s inclusion in the 2025 TV lineup earlier this year. To add to that, she and Nick Lachey marked their 14th wedding anniversary as a couple (and 19 years together since his separation from Jessica Simpson). Although we all miss “NCIS: Hawai’i“, the franchise has also moved forward in its journey.
Indeed, CBS explained back then that one major factor behind the temporary removal of the show from the schedule was an overwhelming influx of content from the franchise. This influx included the release of “NCIS: Origins,” which premiered alongside the original series, as well as the upcoming “Tony & Ziva” spinoff, which will be exclusive to Paramount Plus subscribers.
