Intrigued by this, TopMob organized a survey among his fans and asked them to pick their favorite movie of the actor that still brings joy after being released for many years. The poll results are now available, and it turns out that Dil Chahta Hai is the top choice for viewers on OTT platforms.
In a recent popular survey, fans were asked to choose among several movies featuring Saif Ali Khan: Dil Chahta Hai, Salaam Namaste, Cocktail, Hum Tum, and Race 2. To everyone’s surprise, Dil Chahta Hai emerged as the favorite, with around 36% of respondents selecting it as their preferred choice to watch online.
Let me remind you that Dil Chahta Hai was initially directed by Farhan Akhtar during his first time behind the camera. This endearing comedy-drama follows the lives of three friends as they journey from their college years to adulthood. Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna headline the film, while Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni, and Dimple Kapadia contribute memorable performances in supporting roles.
In the second place, garnering 27% of the votes, was Siddharth Anand’s directorial debut, the romantic comedy-drama film “Salaam Namaste,” which was released in 2005. The movie features Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta as its main characters, portraying two contemporary Indians who have ventured abroad to Australia with dreams of success. Arshad Warsi, Tania Zaetta, and Jugal Hansraj also appear in the film.
In this poll, Saif’s movie “Hum Tum” holds the third place. Remarkably, just 18% of his dedicated fans chose it as their preferred film from his career that they regularly watch on streaming platforms.
In the realm of romantic comedies, the film “Hum Tum” was helmed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Aditya Chopra under his production house, Yash Raj Films. This 2004 production tells the story of two contrasting personalities who happen to cross paths multiple times throughout the years, eventually discovering their mutual feelings for each other. Starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji as the main characters, the film also features Rishi Kapoor, Kirron Kher, Rati Agnihotri, and Jimmy Sheirgill in supporting roles.
