Are you thinking about potential additions to the 2025 movie lineup? Perhaps more dungeons, with an escalation in the number of dragons as well. Regrettably, a follow-up to “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” remains unconfirmed. However, since the 2023 release is gaining popularity among Netflix subscribers, directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have recently expressed a desire for even a small contribution that could significantly impact the project.
Regardless if you’re a fan of Chris Pine-led comedy or one who ranks Dungeons & Dragons among the Top 15 Movies in the U.S., you’re invited! As per a social media post, Goldstein and Daley have extended an invitation to fans to support Honor Among Thieves: here’s how they did it.

It’s understandable that any creator would strive to elevate their project’s position on streaming platforms. At first glance, the idea of a project moving from one platform to another doesn’t seem too surprising. However, recent reports suggest that the live-action Dungeons & Dragons series previously halted at Paramount+ is now being revived at Netflix. Interestingly, Drew Crevello, the showrunner and writer for this project, has also transferred with it.
Honor Among Thieves” has received a strong endorsement from viewers. With Netflix now holding the rights to this property, it suggests that fans might be more engaged than expected. Given Chris Pine’s positive remarks about D&D from last year, there’s a possibility that at least one cast member might reprise their role for a potential sequel.
Acquisitions and management changes can be devastating to a potential franchise, as I’ve learned firsthand with the ongoing wait for James Cameron’s confirmed sequels to Alita: Battle Angel in 2023. Despite this announcement, we haven’t moved any closer to an actual confirmation. Given Rosa Salazar’s experience with editing during Captain America: Brave New World in the MCU, it seems that the executives at 20th Century Studios are showing little regret for their lack of action.

Even though we face some challenges, let’s not lose hope because there’s one positive aspect on our side â the recent addition of “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” to Netflix on Wednesday has already made it a #2 hit this week among new releases. If Netflix’s rule that a movie needs to be viewed within 28 days for its ratings to impact its future prospects applies beyond original series, and if enough viewers raise its ratings in this timeframe, we might be able to discuss its potential continuation.
Is it risky to stream “Honor Among Thieves”? Even though you’re only watching it for personal pleasure, could there still be potential drawbacks? As the old saying goes, you don’t know where fate will lead until you take a chance, so let’s give it a go!
