'Fantastic Four: First Steps' Star Reveals Stan Lee Tribute

As a seasoned movie critic with over three decades of watching films that span from the golden age of cinema to the latest blockbusters, I must say, Marvel Studios has outdone themselves yet again with their upcoming film, Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces one of Stan Lee’s most renowned characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Marvel Studios has paid a touching tribute to the late comic book legend to mark the end of filming. The upcoming movie features Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the original Marvel family, with Julia Garner portraying the Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson providing the voice for the infamous villain Galactus. Filming on the project has now concluded, and Ineson shared details about a heartfelt gift the cast and crew received on their last day of work.

Ralph Ineson recently posted a picture on what used to be Twitter, revealing the souvenir shirts given to the cast and crew as a wrap gift at the conclusion of filming for Fantastic Four: First Steps. The actor showcased his shirt, featuring an arm patch with a NASA-style space company logo. On both sides of the logo are the words “Richards Storm Grimm Storm.” At the top of the logo is the famous phrase coined by Stan Lee, “Excelsior.

The actor didn’t specifically comment on the Stan Lee mention, but couldn’t hide his admiration for Marvel’s thoughtful swag. His post read, ‘Marvel has the best swag!’ In the tags, he disclosed that Marvel Studios went all out with their gift designs, as the t-shirts were from premium workwear brand Carhartt.

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Plot Details Have Finally Been Revealed

Marvel Studios has been consistently sharing tidbits about the upcoming movie “Fantastic Four: First Steps”. It’s already known that the film will be set in a different timeline within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More recently, Kevin Feige disclosed that the movie will showcase a retro-futuristic 1960s ambiance. Earlier this year, fans at San Diego Comic-Con were even shown some preliminary footage, and more recent lucky attendees of D23 Brazil had the chance to see some brand new, exclusive footage.

Though the audience hasn’t viewed the footage yet, Marvel Studios is preparing us with a heads up about First Steps. At long last, a comprehensive summary of the film has been unveiled, shedding light on how Galactus and the Silver Surfer intertwine within the broader narrative. The account goes:

The characters find themselves in a challenging situation where they need to uphold their heroic duties alongside the deep ties of their family. They are tasked with protecting Earth from a destructive space deity named Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic emissary, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). The threat posed by Galactus’ intention to consume the entire planet is already severe, but it becomes even more personal for them.

In the summary, some fans’ worries about how Galactus would appear on screen have been somewhat eased. In the movie “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” both the Silver Surfer and Galactus played primary antagonistic roles. However, the portrayal of the Silver Surfer in that film was quite faithful, whereas Galactus was depicted as a magical cosmic cloud instead of the colossal, world-devouring deity from the comics. Test footage leaked from SDCC hints that Marvel Studios is aiming for a more comic-accurate representation of Galactus in “First Steps.
