This summer, Fantastic Four: First Steps is expected to be one of the biggest blockbusters, and every movie enthusiast knows that a big movie requires some tasty treats! Marvel has thought ahead with the design for their popcorn bucket for this film being revealed. However, it’s going to be a bit eerie. The popcorn bucket is modeled after Marvel’s first family member, Ben Grimm – also known as The Thing. When the movie ends and the credits roll, fans can take home their very own miniature version of this character! In the upcoming film, Ebon Moss-Bachrach portrays Ben Grimm/The Thing, while Pedro Pascal takes on Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm, and Joseph Quinn becomes Johnny Storm.
At this year’s Cinema Con, @janks.p on TikTok showcased the debut of the “Fantastic Four: First Steps” popcorn bucket. The video presentation was filled with numerous popcorn buckets for upcoming 2025 movie releases, such as the live-action versions of “Lilo & Stitch” and “How to Train Your Dragon.” Among them, the “First Steps” popcorn bucket stood out, mirroring the design trend of many recent Marvel Cinematic Universe buckets by featuring the head of one of the characters. Luckily, the design for “Fantastic Four: First Steps” doesn’t seem to have adopted the more mature themes seen in the popcorn buckets of “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.” Instead, the top of The Thing’s head serves as the popcorn receptacle, while a handle extends from the back of his head for easy carrying.
It remains uncertain whether this will be the ultimate bucket design that will hit select cinemas when the film “Fantastic Four: First Steps” premieres on July 25, 2025. Given that the design is being revealed so long before the movie’s release, it seems somewhat unusual. However, Cinema Con 2025 has been packed with unexpected events, so an early popcorn bucket reveal might not be as shocking as some of the other news coming out of the event. There’s a possibility that the film could unveil additional popcorn buckets closer to its release, and fans are eagerly anticipating a design based on the charming robot character HERBIE (voiced by Paul Walter Hauser).
‘Fantastic Four’ Star Claims the Movie Will “Go Down In History!”
For more than ten years, Marvel enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated the arrival of The Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, much like when Spider-Man and X-Men were finally able to join. However, due to inter-studio agreements and contracts, these iconic superheroes had remained out of reach. Fortunately, the rights for The Fantastic Four have reverted back to Marvel Studios, paving the way for their long-awaited debut. In a thrilling turn of events, Marvel Studios is set to introduce these characters with a dramatic confrontation against Galactus (Ralph Ineson), one of the most formidable villains in the Marvel Comics universe.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the upcoming release of “Fantastic Four: First Steps”. Paul Walter Hauser has assured us that this film is set to revolutionize the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his words, “We are confident that we’re the Marvel movie of the year.” Admittedly, “Captain America: Brave New World” doesn’t present a particularly high hurdle, but “Thunderbolts”, slated for release this May, has all the makings of another box office triumph. Hauser’s optimism is infectious; he believes that “this will go down in history as one of the movies that sparked a new wave of compelling storytelling for the studio.
