Fashion Designer Riccardo Tisci Accused of Drugging, Sexually Assaulting New York Man in Legal Complaint

The Italian fashion designer, Riccardo Tisci, faces allegations of administering drugs and engaging in sexual misconduct against a male resident from New York.

On Tuesday, a 11-page court filing was submitted to the New York Supreme Court, first reported by The Independent. In this filing, Patrick Cooper alleges that Tisci secretly added a substance (presumably a drug) into his drink when he wasn’t looking, following an encounter at the 2 Sisters 4 Brothers Restaurant and Lounge in East Harlem on June 29, 2024.

When Cooper found himself in a state of disorientation, confusion, impairment, intoxication, and unawareness of his actions and surroundings, the complaint claims that Tisci is said to have taken him back to his residence, prevented him from leaving, and sexually assaulted him.

Or simply:

After Cooper became disoriented, confused, impaired, intoxicated, unable to understand his situation, and unable to leave, the complaint alleges that Tisci brought him home and sexually assaulted him.

According to Cooper’s statement, he alleges that he was under the influence of drugs during the alleged sexual assault and only became aware of the incident when he woke up next to Tisci with no clothes on. The complaint asserts that due to the drugs administered by the defendant, Cooper could not resist, react, prevent, or protect himself from the defendant’s aggressive, sexual, and unlawful attack and battery.

In response, a representative for Tisci declared, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, “These claims are completely baseless. Riccardo eagerly anticipates proving the truth about himself and dispelling these harmful and slanderous allegations. He intends to secure exoneration through the proper judicial proceedings.

Throughout his career in fashion, Tisci has adorned many high-profile individuals such as Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, Meryl Streep, Madonna, and Cate Blanchett with his designs. Prior to 2017, he held the position of Creative Director at Givenchy for 12 years, but chose to depart from the luxury fashion house after this tenure. Subsequently, he took on the role of Chief Creative Officer at Burberry in 2018 until his separation from the company in 2022.
