‘Fauda’ Season 5 Sets Production Start and Early 2026 Premiere

Production for season five of the widely-acclaimed Israeli action series, Fauda, is scheduled to begin towards the end of April, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

The plot and characters for the upcoming season are still kept secret. It’s been announced that Yes Studios, responsible for the international distribution of this action series, plans to air a new season of Fauda on Yes TV in Israel during early 2026.

After a global release on Netflix, the first four seasons of Fauda were streamed. The next season of this action thriller will be filmed in both Israel and undisclosed international locations. This time, the Fauda team embarks on an overseas mission that is not publicly disclosed.

A return for production for Fauda follows the Israeli film and TV industry being mobilized in wake of the Oct.r 7, 2023, attack on southern Israeli by Hamas terrorists.

Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, Fauda follows a team of elite Israeli undercover agents operating in the West Bank. In season four, a small terrorist cell raised red flags within the Israeli security services, leading Officer Doron Kavillio, played by Raz, to go to Belgium for a mission that took a dangerous turn.

The upcoming fifth season of “Fauda” is set to be helmed by director Omri Givon, known for his work on “Hostages”, and written by Omri Shenhar, who has previously worked on shows like “Tehran”, “Magpie”. This popular series is a joint production between Yes TV and L. Benasuly Productions.

Sharon Levi, head of Yes Studios, announced in a statement: “Back in February 2015, Fauda first aired on Yes TV. Over the past ten years, this series has expanded and gained global popularity. We can’t imagine a more fitting way to celebrate this anniversary than by reviving Fauda for another season, bringing joy to its dedicated viewers worldwide.
