The following year, in 2021, the inaugural MLB game took place at the Field of Dreams, featuring the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. Before the match began, the star of ‘Field of Dreams’, Costner, emerged from the cornfield to introduce the event. This game attracted the highest audience for a regular season game in 16 years, leading to a repeat performance in 2022 with a contest between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds.
