In a collaboration, PCCW Media from Hong Kong and SK Global – known for producing hits like “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Delhi Crime” – are jointly working on a high-priced drama series titled “The Season”, which is set in Hong Kong.
The show is developed and overseen by writer-producer Yalun Tu, who has previously worked on “NCIS: Hawaii” and “Wu Assassins”. Marialy Rivas, a well-known Chilean filmmaker from “The Jetty”, takes charge as the main director and also serves as an executive producer.
The series has a buzzy, White Lotus-like premise set amidst Hong Kong high society.
In the vibrant backdrop of Hong Kong’s wealth and contrasts, The Season unfolds, focusing on an exclusive circle of friends indulging in a summer filled with extravagance as the boating season commences. Initially appearing as a glamorous retreat, events take a turn for the complex, entangling them in a net of deceit, power struggles, and decisions that will reshape their lives.
