Final Destination: Bloodlines Reveals the Gruesome Fate of the Most Hated Character

The ending of “Final Destination: Bloodlines” unveiled the fate of one of the film’s most despicable characters, and it’s incredibly fitting. In this latest installment of the “Final Destination” series, a character who could arguably be considered among the worst was introduced – he was involved in the Skyview incident that Iris Campbell (Brec Bassinger) thwarted back in 1969. This character is none other than “Penny Kid,” who famously tossed a penny from the Skyview Tower, indirectly triggering the chain of events that led to the initial catastrophe.

12-year-old character played by Noah Bromley behaved disrespectfully and uncaringly towards those he met during the event, providing additional reasons for viewers to dislike him. Inside the elevator, Iris and Paul (Max Lloyd-Jones) found the child deliberately tapping his feet on the glass floor, making Iris, who was confirmed pregnant, feel uncomfortable. Amidst the turmoil of the incident, this spoiled child shoved people out of the way to reach the stairs ahead while still smiling after several people perished around him.

Some spectators found him insufferable throughout, ranking him as their most disliked character. In a chilling foreshadowing event, the child met his untimely death when a falling piano crushed him moments after he fled from Skyview.

The behind-the-scenes information from Final Destination: Bloodlines (as unveiled through Reddit user XHYC’s detailed image) shed light on the fate of “Penny Kid” following the Skyview Tower event. It turns out that instead of the character, a pickpocket met an untimely demise at the hands of a piano-moving truck.

In “Final Destination: Bloodlines,” it’s been verified by directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, as shared with Collider, that the child who perished under a falling piano is indeed the very thief later squashed by a moving piano truck.

The kid’s death essentially paid homage to how he originally died in the Skyview Incident in 1969.

In an individual interview with Time Magazine, Lipovsky revealed that spectators applauded as a child was squashed under a piano.

In a movie, a 12-year-old boy dies early on, and instead of sadness or shock, viewers are seen celebrating with glee as if the child’s death was good news. This is an unusual and distinctive reaction that one won’t encounter while watching films at home.

In the narrative of “Final Destination: Revelations,” I find myself part of the Campbell family, whose lives take an eerie turn following a chilling event in 1969 that involved our grandmother, Iris Campbell. She managed to thwart an impending disaster, unknowingly sparing everyone and rendering those who should have perished as nonexistent entities. This twist in fate sets the stage for Death’s relentless pursuit, as it seeks retribution against the people whose lives were inadvertently saved and their descendants, whom it has been patiently waiting to claim since the original list of intended victims was altered.

The TV series “Bloodlines” boasts a powerful cast headed by Brec Bassinger and Gabrielle Rose, with Brec Bassinger playing Iris Campbell, Kaitlyn Santa Juana portraying Stefani, Richard Harmon taking on the role of Teo Briones, Charlie being played by Teo Briones, Owen Joyner as Bobby, Anna Lore as Julia Campbell, Alex Zahara as Howard, Rya Kihlstedt as Darlene, and the late Tony Todd in the part of William Bludworth.

Will Future Final Destination Movies Explore Penny Kid’s Backstory?

Nearly everyone dislikes the Penny Kid intensely within the fanbase, with most believing he’s undoubtedly the least likable character across the entire Final Destination series. Despite his significant role in the movie, many fans think there could be more to his story if a spin-off or sequel were ever made.

In the order of the deaths predicted earlier, it was the child who passed away prior to both Iris and Bludworth. This implies that a possible film scenario could be established right before the incidents depicted in “Final Destination: Bloodlines“.

In light of his significant role in initiating the Skyview incident, some might argue that he deserved his fate, as if death were acknowledging him for contributing to its greater plan.

Instead of viewing the child as beyond redemption, there’s potential for a future undertaking that might provide an opportunity for him to make amends, transforming into a heroic figure before meeting an untimely end due to a runaway piano truck.

In Bloodlines, I couldn’t help but feel that the character truly deserved his fate due to his actions. The narrative was skillfully crafted to make him insufferably arrogant and detestable, which is why many readers grew to despise him.
