Fire Country Season 4 Will See Bode Lose Loved Ones and Face His Worst Year Yet

Warning! SPOILERS about Fire Country season 3, episode 20 ahead.

Bode’s journey hasn’t been a smooth sail since he debuted in the first episode of the series, but ‘Fire Country’ season 4 promises to portray the toughest year of Bode’s life so far. From the moment Bode unintentionally returned to his hometown during ‘Fire Country’ season 1, it became clear why he had no desire to step foot in Edgewater, even though working at Three Rock was his long-held dream. One of Bode’s biggest challenges during season 1 was his strained relationship with his father Vince, who had exiled him, and this was especially difficult given that Sharon wasn’t fully aware of the events between them following Riley’s demise.

In the course of his role as an inmate firefighter, Bode encountered numerous challenges. These included Sleeper’s actions leading to Three Rock and sending him back to prison, a decision he made to ensure Freddy’s freedom. Additionally, Three Rock itself was at risk of shutting down due to Edgewater residents’ complaints. Bode had to confront several distinct hurdles. In the third season of Fire Country, Bode and Manny took on a corporation like Oxalta in order to protect Three Rock. However, the ending of Fire Country season 3 might set the stage for Bode’s most difficult year yet because the characters of Bode and Manny did not return in season 2.

Bode Will Lose 2 Of The Closest People In His Life In Fire Country Season 4

2 Main Original Characters Won’t Be In Fire Country Season 4

In Fire Country’s season 3 finale, a series of perilous situations arose for Bode’s dear ones, with Gabriela and Audrey under Finn’s threat, Eve and the firefighter inmates defending Three Rock by themselves, and Bode’s family being trapped in the burning Buena Vista building. The speed at which events unfolded prevented Bode from fully accepting the outcomes of the dramatic two-part Fire Country season 3 finale, suggesting that he will likely grapple with the impact of these events in season 4.

The ending of Fire Country’s third season didn’t make it clear how Bode will lose two important characters, Gabriela and Vince. However, Deadline revealed on the same day as the third season finale that Stephanie Arcila and Billy Burke, who portrayed Gabriela and Vince respectively, won’t be regular cast members in Fire Country’s fourth season. Considering the events of episodes 19 and 20 from season 3, it seems likely that Gabriela may depart Edgewater due to everything she experienced there during that season, and Vince might pass away, possibly as a result of the Buena Vista roof collapse.

Why Losing Gabriela & Vince Is Worse Than Anything Bode Has Ever Experienced

Losing 2 Characters Who Mean The World To Him Simultaneously Will Unsettle Bode

In the thrilling conclusion of Fire Country season 3, it left everyone guessing about which characters from Fire Country met their end or survived. Given that Vince is one of three characters whose fate remains unclear and Burke won’t be back in season 4, it seems highly possible that Vince might be the one who perishes after the roof collapse at Buena Vista. With Vince passing away and Gabriela leaving to cope with recent events, Bode will find himself abruptly losing two crucial figures who have always stood by him.

In Fire Country’s fourth season, Bode will find it challenging to cope with his emotions, as he’ll lose a cherished character who was crucial in providing support during his previous tragedy and loss of Riley. This sudden and significant blow comes at a time when Bode is least prepared, making it even harder for him to bear the pain.

Surviving These Losses Will Be Very Difficult, But It Can Make Bode’s Story More Compelling

Fire Country Season 4’s Events Can Make Bode The Strongest Version Of Himself

These losses occurring at a pivotal moment in Bode’s life, as he had recently been released from parole, became a firefighter, and even fought fires with his family, could potentially jeopardize his progress. Given that Fire Country season 3 hinted at Bode’s relapse following the loss of Rafael and his acquisition of painkillers from his former coach, before he asserted his newfound strength by resisting temptation, it’s not unreasonable to worry that the Leone tragedy could derail Bode’s sobriety and overall healing process.

Based on the way Fire Country season 3’s finale hinted at Bode’s fall, it seems likely that season 4 might delve into this development. Whether Bode hits his lowest point or manages to cope with the Leone tragedy better than anticipated, there is undeniably a lot of work for him in Fire Country season 4 to restore his professional and personal standing, which he had at the start of season 3. Fingers crossed that this journey will make Bode stronger and more resilient by the end of season 4.
