In simple terms, the arrival of Season 3 for Black Ops 6 will bring back the popular multiplayer map, Firing Range – a beloved location with significant history in the Call of Duty universe.
2010 saw the debut of the original Black Ops with its quick-tempo, miniature battlefield for training. Now, it returns, revamped and refurbished to meet the demands of modern times.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated return of the map is now officially confirmed by Treyarch! Mark your calendars, fellow gamers, because we’re diving back in together on April 2, 2025!
It’s been quite some time since the Firing Range has appeared in a primary game, the last being Black Ops 4. Thus, its reappearance is exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting more traditional gameplay content.
Treyarch has given the map a fresh, updated appearance while preserving its original structure and navigation pattern. This way, they can maintain the familiar, nostalgic vibe, all the while ensuring the graphics and gameplay meet modern standards of quality and smoothness.
Prepare for sharp curves, multi-layered vistas, and the heart-pounding thrill the map is known for. Firing Range is simply a piece of the larger puzzle, but Season 3 appears to be shaping up well in every aspect.
Treyarch and Activision are planning to unveil an extensive update featuring the comeback of Demolition and Sharpshooter multiplayer modes, as well as bringing back popular Modern Warfare-era weapons such as the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX, and HDR. However, fans will have to wait until April 3 for this update, which includes the reemergence of Verdansk in Warzone.
For avid multiplayer gamers, there’s an early entry opportunity on April 1st. Meanwhile, newbies can try out Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for free between April 2nd and 3rd during a special access period. This is while the Warzone servers are being prepped.
This allows novice players to sample the enhanced gameplay, while veteran enthusiasts can delve into what might prove to be an exceptional season.
It’s anticipated that we’ll unveil the entire plan for Season 3 on March 27th. As for the Zombies content, it still seems shrouded in secrecy. However, rumors hint at potential additions of four to six new multiplayer maps, with a possibility of remastered favorites like Firing Range being included.
It remains unclear whether the upcoming parts of the update will manage to strike the same blend of nostalgia and modernity, but it is evident that Treyarch intends to captivate long-time players with familiar elements while offering fresh experiences.
If you’ve been yearning for the original vibe of Call of Duty, the reintroduction of the Firing Range could provide an excellent opportunity for you to re-engage.
