Robert Downey Jr. shares a snapshot from the set of “Avengers: Doomsday,” marking his reentry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Tony Stark’s story concluded with The Infinity Saga, Downey Jr. isn’t quite finished with the MCU timeline; instead, he will breathe life into Victor von Doom (also known as Doctor Doom) during Phase 6 of The Multiverse Saga. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares to face off against the iconic villain in both “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Doctor Doom is one of the most eagerly awaited developments in the remainder of The Multiverse Saga.
While fans are eagerly anticipating how Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, he recently posted a picture from the set on Instagram. In the image, he can be seen reading and flexing one arm. In addition to this sneak peek, Downey Jr. acknowledged his fellow MCU actor Jeremy Renner, who has not yet been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday.
