Having grown up with the Lunar New Year tradition, it’s always been a joy to see how Jordan Brand incorporates these themes into their designs. The snakeskin mudguard on this pair adds an extra layer of detail that sets it apart from previous releases.

In the spirit of Lunar New Year celebrations, Jordan Brand has been creating themed collections lately. For instance, in 2024, they showcased a variety of designs ranging from the Air Jordan 1 Low OG to the Air Jordan 38, all adorned with “Year of the Dragon” color schemes. We can anticipate that this tradition will carry on in 2025, featuring the Year of the Snake-themed designs.

From Jordan Brand’s “Year of the Snake” collection for next year, the initial reveal is an Air Jordan 11 Low colorway featuring a snakeskin mudguard instead of the usual patent leather finish. This gray snakeskin detail encircles the predominantly white shoe, which sits atop tumbled leather at its highest point.

As of now, Jordan Brand has not disclosed their plans for the “Year of the Snake” collection themed around the Lunar New Year, featuring a fresh design of the Air Jordan 11 Low.
