Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Looks 100x More Fun Than The First One, And I Already Know Which New Animatronic I’m Most Excited About

The influence of the animatronics in the FNAF series is so strong that even M3GAN 2.0 couldn’t resist alluding to the upcoming movie sequel in its promotions. Now, we can finally see what the return of Freddy Fazbear will be like, as Blumhouse has revealed the first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. It’s been more than two years since Emma Corrin’s initial film was released, and I am optimistic that the anticipation will pay off.

It appears that the creators of FNAF 2, led by Scott Cawthon, have taken into account the criticisms and concerns raised by those who are not gamers regarding the first installment. From what we can see in the trailer, it seems they’ve aimed to improve on some aspects, offering more characters, deeper lore, and significantly increased scares and animatronic-related violence. Take a look at the terrifying first trailer for this upcoming horror movie below.

Alright, let’s discuss the key points! But just to clarify, I suppose we could call them “sparkling moments” or “brightening instances,” given that their eyes brighten up. [Taps microphone.] Could someone check if this is working properly?

Mangle! Mangle! Mangle!

Despite my eagerness to revisit the main four vibrant characters from the original FNAF movie, I’m equally thrilled to discover what Blumhouse and the Jim Henson team have in store for the game’s eerie adversaries that were reserved for sequels. Characters like Mangle and Baby, for instance.

The dismantled figure of Foxy appears several times throughout the trailer, and each instance depicts a gruesome conclusion for someone’s life. At one point, it perches menacingly atop a vehicle with its terrifying appendages splayed out, while another scene offers a closer look from a first-person perspective. It’s quite exciting to put it mildly.

Mangle isn’t the kind of character who can just casually appear on stage without stirring up chaos, given its unique status among the FNAF characters. You won’t find anyone trying to have a friendly sing-along with Mangle. However, if there’s a scene in the new movie where someone attempts that, I’d be interested to see it.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is set to wreak music-box havoc on theaters starting on December 5, 2025.
