Sharvari Wagh recently left everyone in awe with her acting in the horror-comedy Munjya. Next, she’s readying herself for an exciting lineup that includes the highly anticipated Alpha, alongside Alia Bhatt. Sharvari has now shared insights about her unique preparation for these two movies set in different realms of Bollywood. She discussed immersing herself in the character for the YRF Spy Universe film.
In a chat with Elle India, Sharvari Wagh shared that she was greatly inspired by being part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy world and YRF’s Spy universe. She described these as “two major franchises in Bollywood.” The actress expressed her thanks to producers Dinesh Vijan and Aditya Chopra for offering her the chance.
Speaking about her preparations for Munjya and Alpha, Sharvari explained that “the preparation for these two films is strikingly different. For Munjya, I had to immerse myself in the character of the ghost, focusing particularly on my body language.”
In the world of spies, she found the actions exhilarating, but behind the scenes, it required rigorous preparation including extensive training and stringent diet restrictions. She emphasized, “It’s crucial to fully immerse oneself in the character and deliver a performance that matches the meticulously crafted action sequences.”
On August 30, 2024, Sharvari Wagh and Alia Bhatt shared a touching image on their social media platforms, which they are both currently using for the filming of Alpha in Kashmir. The pair delighted their followers by posting a picture of them forming a heart shape with their hands.
Alpha is being helmed by director Shiv Rawail, known for The Railway Men. In July 2024, the film’s official announcement and title were unveiled with a video. The post caption read, “#ALPHA has arrived! Girls, get ready!” When Sharvari began filming for the movie, she shared her excitement, “Thrilled to embark on my #Alpha adventure today! I’ve been visualizing this moment and preparing myself, but I still feel butterflies in my stomach…”
I had the pleasure of witnessing the theater release of “Munjya” on June 7, 2024. This captivating film features Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Aditya Sarpotdar skillfully directs this movie, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.
