G-Dragon Is Headed to North America and Europe for World Tour

On Monday, K-pop sensation G-Dragon announced additional dates for his eagerly awaited global tour. At 36 years old, a founding member of the legendary boy band BigBang, G-Dragon has expanded his Übermensch world tour to include North American and European stops.

The tour, beginning in Seoul back in March, is set to visit Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Hong Kong before its initial U.S. performance in Newark. On August 22, G-Dragon will take the stage at Newark’s Prudential Center, followed by shows at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 31 and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on September 5. After these U.S. performances, the artist plans to perform in Paris at La Défense Arena on September 20.

Enthusiasts of the self-proclaimed “King of K-pop” are promised an extraordinary showcase that transcends traditional live performances, fusing music, fashion, groundbreaking technology, and narrative in a unique style that’s distinctly his, as suggested by the press statement.

The tour leg happening in South Korea, titled after G-Dragon’s recent album ÜBERMENSCH, was quickly sold out. As stated in an announcement, the theme revolves around personal self-discovery and overcoming oneself. Notably, the artist has recently graced the stage at the L.A. music festival called Head in the Clouds.

For close to two decades, G-Dragon, originally known as Kwon Ji-Yong, has been a major figure in South Korea’s music scene. He first emerged on the scene in 2006 with BigBang, a group that achieved significant domestic and international acclaim; numerous upcoming K-pop groups acknowledge BigBang and G-Dragon as their inspiration.

On Wednesday, June 25th at 10 a.m., there’s an exclusive pre-sale for members of G-Dragon’s official fan club. This sale will continue until Thursday, June 26th at 9:59 a.m. After that, general ticket sales will start on Friday, June 27th at 10 a.m. For complete details, visit G-Dragon’s website.
