As a longtime ocean enthusiast with a deep appreciation for both G-SHOCK and Western Hydrodynamic Research (WHR), I am absolutely thrilled about their latest collaboration! With my passion for surfing, diving, and preserving our precious marine environments, this partnership is like a dream come true.
G-SHOCK recently revealed a fresh partnership for a timepiece and clothing line with the California-focused surf culture and marine conservation brand, Western Hydrodynamic Research.
The “Ocean Blue” GLX-5600WHR-2ER collaborative watch offers 20-bar water resistance and essential tools for surfing and marine activities, such as tide and moon phase graphs. It symbolizes the shared love for the ocean in its design, reflecting harmony with nature. The bezel and band are crafted from eco-friendly resins derived from renewable organic plant resources, contributing to a smaller carbon footprint for this timepiece.
This watch comes equipped with a Super Illuminator, which is a high-intensity LED light that enhances legibility in dim conditions, as well as a unique WHR emblem adorning the watch dial. The rear casing also bears an engraving of the WHR insignia.
In a first for G-SHOCK, the brand will simultaneously launch an apparel capsule collection with WHR. The limited-edition offering includes a new cap, two graphic T-shirts, and two graphic hoodies, all designed with a slew of co-branding throughout.
In the UK, you’ll find exclusive collections of watches and clothing, available in limited numbers. Check out the campaign visuals above, then visit the official G-SHOCK website to secure your preferred items right away.
