As a seasoned gamer of gritty crime dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement for the third season of “Gangs of London”. Having witnessed the blood-soaked chaos unfold in the U.K. capital in seasons one and two, I’m eager to dive back into the drug-fuelled turmoil that gripped viewers worldwide.
The intense, BAFTA-winning series “Gangs of London” by Sky and AMC+ showcases more blood-drenched conflict: On Wednesday, we got our first glimpse at a teaser and pictures for season three.
The series featuring Sọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Joe Cole, Michelle Fairley, Lucian Msamati, and Brian Vernel was highly popular among audiences, captivated by the turmoil of drug-related anarchy in London.
Joining us once again are Pippa Bennett-Warner, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza Mir, Orli Shuka, Jahz Armando, and Fady Elsayed. This time around, we’re excited to introduce Andrew Koji, Richard Dormer, and T’Nia Miller. As for special appearances this season, Phil Daniels, Ruth Sheen, and Mat Fraser will make their mark too.
A plot synopsis for the latest instalment of the violent crime drama reads: “Former undercover cop turned gangster Elliot navigates his new role as a top-level criminal alongside the Dumanis, but the spiking throws their operations into disarray. The Wallaces, Luan, Lale, and the street gangs face devastating consequences as personal vendettas collide with professional power struggles bleeding into violent turf wars. In the ruthless fight for control of London’s criminal underworld, no one is safe. This was no accident — it was a calculated attack. But who’s pulling the strings?”
Upon its debut, the nine-episode series – developed by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery, produced jointly by Pulse Films and Sister Pictures for Sky Studios and AMC+ – drew an accumulated viewership of 2.23 million over seven days on Sky Atlantic, a channel owned by Sky, the largest pay-TV provider in the UK, positioning it as the second most successful original drama launch in the channel’s history, trailing only behind Fortitude.
Gangs of London will be available on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in 2025.
