During an interview with Mid-Day, Nawazuddin Siddiqui clarified rumors about director Anurag Kashyap potentially creating a third installment of “Gangs of Wasseypur”. He confirmed that neither Anurag nor he will be involved in the production or acting for this film.
I can’t help but gush about this! People are constantly bringing up my favorite subject, Faizal Khan. They often share stories of similar proposals, some even dreaming of a movie entirely dedicated to him!
During a chat with The Lallantop, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap dismissed rumors about a possible third installment of Gangs of Wasseypur, explaining that he has no plans to develop the Wasseypur universe further.
The originator dispelled the gossips, clarifying that his intent as a director was to explore diverse narratives rather than sticking to one storyline. He pointed out that businesspeople often view things differently and that everything seems to be transforming into a universe these days, but he has no desire to conform to that popular trend.
Additionally, he playfully remarked that he might create Wasseypur 3 out of necessity, using humor to suggest it was his last resort. He joked about announcing the movie as a way to raise funds for his medical expenses.
The exceptional acting by stars such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, and Richa Chadha made Parts 1 and 2 incredibly successful due to their gripping narratives, deeply portrayed characters, and memorable lines.
