Gap has expanded its collaborative ventures by welcoming a new partner into their family – The Muppets. Previously, they’ve teamed up with Dôen, Cult Gaia, and even created a collection featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Their latest collaboration includes a seven-piece assortment consisting of two unisex crewneck sweaters and five graphic tees.

As a gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the latest Gap x Muppets collection! Each item features a central character portrait, with the iconic Gap logo neatly tucked in one corner. The design is beautifully printed on either a comfy cotton jersey t-shirt or a sturdy French terry sweatshirt. The t-shirt goes for $48, while the sweatshirt retails at $68. Both pieces boast a relaxed, oversized fit that’s perfect for lounging around. You can choose from four fabulous colors: white, black, pale heather gray, and off white.
The main characters in this show are Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and Animal. Initially brought to life by puppeteer and animator Jim Henson back in 1955, these lovable creatures form part of the Muppets media franchise, which was bought by The Walt Disney Company in 2004.
Among the latest additions to Gap’s collection that deserve mention are eight Star Wars themed t-shirts, along with newly designed Gap x Disney hoodies and roomy sweatpants. These items are included in the current sitewide sale, but unfortunately, the new Muppets collaboration is not part of this offer.
Beyond just The Gap, there’s been a rise in collaborations between well-known children’s entertainment franchises and big fashion brands. For instance, Sesame Street has partnered with Reebok, Disney’s Mickey & Friends have teamed up with Aéropostale to create a collection, and Puma has introduced a new line of Hello Kitty sneakers and clothing suitable for both children and adults.
