Fans of Xbox were troubled when Gears of War: E-Day wasn’t featured in the recent Developer Direct. However, the eagerly awaited third-person shooter has received an encouraging update as a well-known developer is now assisting The Coalition with its development. Although there’s no confirmed release date yet, the news that skilled professionals are working on it brings us hope.
The company People Can Fly has revealed they’re teaming up with The Coalition to create E-Day, ensuring that the shooter game will maintain the high-quality standards of its predecessors. As fans know, this studio previously developed the Gears series, working on the first three games and 2013’s Gears of War: Judgement. Given that E-Day is meant to be a comeback for the franchise, bringing back this experienced team seems like an excellent decision.
Apart from contributing to Gears of War: E-Day and other games in the series, People Can Fly is recognized for creating Painkiller in 2004, a game that didn’t get as much attention as it deserved. They were also behind Bulletstorm, a well-liked shooter game from 2011, which has been remastered for contemporary gaming systems. To add to their portfolio, they worked on Outriders, a multiplayer live-service shooter, although no one’s work is ever flawless.
Fans are delighted as the series seems to be reverting back to its original essence in various aspects. Many felt that the fourth and fifth games strayed from what initially made the series unique. While some fans believe the series should have concluded earlier, Xbox requires a fresh offering to keep players engaged.
1) Gears of War: E-Day left fans thrilled with its trailer, taking us back to the early days of series hero Marcus Fenix’s journey. It’s rumored that this trailer utilized the game’s own graphics, though we’ll need to witness it ourselves to confirm. The nostalgic crowd was also pleased by hints of the classic tune “Mad World,” which was featured in the first game’s memorable trailer.
For further insights into Xbox, enthusiasts can delve into the ongoing dilemma facing the gaming firm in the year 2025. Meanwhile, keep an eye out for the imminent release of Doom: The Dark Ages. Here’s a round-up of all the information available about this upcoming shooter game.
