Genshin Impact 5.8 Banner Schedule

In the upcoming update 5.8 of Genshin Impact, a fresh 5-star character named Ineffa will be introduced. Additionally, some characters such as Citlali, Chasca, and Mualani will make a comeback in reruns.

Here’s what the full banner schedule will look like:

Phase 1

  • Featured 5-star character: Ineffa and Citlali
  • Featured 5-star weapon: Fractured Halo (Polerarm) and Starcaller’s Watch (Catalyst)
  • Date: July 30, 2025 to August 19, 2025.

Phase 2

  • Featured 5-star character: Chasca and Mualani
  • Featured 5-star weapon: Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage (Bow) and Surf’s Up (Catalyst)
  • Date: August 19, 2025 to September 9, 2025.

There’s no confirmed details about the four-star characters, but rumors hint at Fischl and Xingqiu being included.

All Genshin Impact Version 5.8 Events Details

Every time there’s an X.8 update in Genshin Impact, a summer vacation-themed area is introduced, featuring the primary event centered around this theme. Unlike before, this new region will not expire with the event, allowing players to continue exploring it even after the event concludes.

The primary event is called Sunspray Sunder Resort, and it consists of four sub-events. One involves painting everything, reminiscent of Splatoon, another requires the use of a sniper, followed by a 2D platforming game, and lastly, a musical face-off. Completing all these tasks will reward you with 1,000 Primogems, a new Bennett costume, a free Claymore weapon, and various upgrade resources.

In total, version 5.8 will have these three events instead of the usual four:

  • Sunspray Surner Resort: Main event themed around the new region with several mini-games and major rewards. It’ll start right after the update on July 30 and will be available until August 18, 2025.
  • Tracing Vanishing Trails: An event where Traveler follows Yelan on an undercover case to catch a serial Mora launderer. Rewards for the event are 420 Primogems and other upgrade materials. It’ll run from August 14 to August 25.
  • Mementos of Teyvat: Prelude of the Frozen Veil: Before Traveler sets on a new journey, they decide to recapture certain mementos from past regions. It is a photo shoot event where you’ll take photos in different poses and environments. Rewards for the event are 420 Primogems and other upgrade materials. The runtime for the same will be August 21 to September 1, 2025.

Instead, an event called Stygian Onslaught has taken the place of the usual fourth Primogems providing event. This endgame mode is set to be refreshed on August 6.

From September 1st through the 8th, not only will we experience a Ley Line Overflow, but this event will offer double Mora and Character Experience books as rewards for completing Ley Line challenges.
