As a fellow gamer and avid follower of Hollywood news, I can’t help but be impressed by Glen Powell‘s dedication to his education despite his busy acting career. His ability to multitask and balance university studies with filming is nothing short of remarkable. It’s not every day that we hear of an actor finishing up their degree while working on a major movie project.
Glen Powell, an accomplished multitasker, shares that he will nearly finish his college education through online classes while working on his upcoming film. However, he plans to return to the University of Texas at Austin’s campus for in-person exams.
Powell shared with IndieWire that he won’t be attending classes with other students regularly due to shooting “The Running Man” in London during the fall. However, he will return to take proctored exams using distance learning arrangements provided by the institution.
The actor from “Hit Man” mentioned that he’ll attend classes every now and then, approximately twice or thrice a semester, adding that director Edgar Wright of “The Running Man” has been understanding and accommodating, allowing him to complete his education amidst the production of his big-scale film.
In an interview with Lacey Rose for The Hollywood Reporter’s May issue, Powell shared his intention to complete his degree and return to Texas. He expressed that his recent professional accomplishments allowed him to do so, having lived in Hollywood Hills since “Top Gun: Maverick.” Powell believed this change would benefit him emotionally and mentally.
Next year, I’ll finally earn my bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Early American History. It means a lot to me, especially since I started this journey before finding success in Hollywood. For my mom, it’s a source of pride, but for me, it’s deeply personal. I can almost taste the feeling of accomplishment as I near the finish line.
