Edwards shared that he’s been an ardent fan of “Jurassic Park” since his youth, and writing a fresh chapter in this epic tale was too enticing to resist. His aim was to craft a narrative that embodied all the elements he cherished from the original “Jurassic Park,” while also creating a captivating new tale to usher the series into a new phase, now that the initial trilogy has concluded.

The brief film additionally delves deeply into the lives of actors Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, who portray characters Zora Bennett, Duncain Kincaid, and Dr. Henry Loomis respectively. They discuss their adventures while filming in various fascinating locations worldwide and their struggles adapting to the environment. The narrative follows these three individuals as they journey back to islands surrounding the initial Jurassic Park to collect dinosaur DNA. However, their mission is disrupted when they intervene to save a family who had unintentionally entered dinosaur-inhabited territory due to problems with their sailing voyage.

“Thailand is very welcoming, the deep jungle is not,” Johansson joked.

The decision to shoot so much on location, even those breathtaking dinosaur scenes on open water, was no easy feat. He delved into the challenges and triumphs of tackling such a complex project to bring the grandeur and scale befitting a Jurassic movie to life.
