She emphasized that being married to an actor can be challenging because one has to endure many things. “As a hero’s wife,” Sunita stated, “you must carry a very heavy stone in your heart.

Sunita shared that she didn’t worry about Govinda receiving female attention, as she believed he would always come back to her in the end, which gave her confidence. (She didn’t care. Sunita Ahuja shared an unusual story about a woman who posed as a maid and worked in the household of actor Govinda for 20 days. Although Sunita was young and inexperienced, she became suspicious due to the fact that this woman stayed up late at night and waited for Govinda. “I thought she looked like she came from a well-off family,” said Sunita. “I told my mother-in-law that she didn’t know how to do chores like cleaning or washing dishes. I was young, but something felt off to me. She would stay up late and wait for Govinda. I couldn’t believe it,” she added.

Sunita continued to share that upon conducting an investigation, she discovered the girl in question was actually a minister’s daughter. “She broke down and admitted she was a huge admirer of Govinda,” Sunita explained. “Then her father arrived with four cars, demonstrating the level of fandom directed towards Govinda,” Sunita concluded.

Back then, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja started dating and were together for three years before they got married in 1987, which was one year after Govinda entered the film industry. To avoid potential career complications as a prominent actor, they chose to keep their marriage a secret for more than a year.
