Grammy-nominated artist Grimes, who is also known as producer Grimes, shared an unusual remark about her former partner and father to her three children, Elon Musk, following their 4-year-old son’s appearance alongside the tech entrepreneur turned government advisor at the White House on Wednesday.
In the Oval Office, Trump unveiled an executive order aimed at steering federal agencies according to Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Under Trump’s supervision, Musk and his team have been delving into government departments, sifting through records, and advising civil servants on how to trim government costs and eliminate unnecessary expenses. Musk asserted that DOGE has identified “billions and billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and misuse.
In a recent public address, I shared my latest endeavors with the government and the anguish it’s caused for countless civil servants. By my side during this press conference was my son, X Æ A-Xii, affectionately known as “X.” Throughout the event, he proved to be quite a character, scaling on me, whispering to President Trump, and even playfully poking my ears while I discussed potential job losses at various government agencies. It’s safe to say that he certainly kept things interesting!
It appeared that nothing pleased Grimes, also known as Claire Elise Bouche, when this happened. On the platform X (previously known as Twitter), she reacted to someone’s comment about her son’s moment at the White House, expressing her opinion that he was a well-mannered young boy.
Grimes posted that it’s inappropriate for him to be out in public as such. She mentioned she wasn’t aware of the situation, but thanks for bringing it to her attention. Despite the circumstances, she’s relieved he was courteous.
The 36-year-old Canadian singer (Grimes) and the 53-year-old (Elon Musk) were in a relationship from 2018 to 2022, often referred to as a May-December romance. They have three children together: X Æ A-Xii, their eldest; a three-year-old daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl; and a two-year-old son called Tau Techno Mechanicus. Normally reserved about Musk’s actions, Grimes recently addressed a controversial incident where he appeared to give a Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration parade, following widespread criticism for her silence on the matter.
It’s illogical for someone to face such severe consequences due to actions their former partner undertook, without them even knowing about it first. I am not him, and I won’t feel compelled to issue a statement every time he acts inappropriately. I can only extend love in a world that is suffering… To clarify, I could speak out and garner attention, potentially being hailed as a feminist icon, but such actions would serve no purpose. I prioritize the wellbeing of my children instead.
