In addition to its victories, “Hacks” was recognized as the best actress in a comedy series for Smart and as the best writing in a comedy series for Aniello, Downs, and Jen Statsky. The series, featuring Hannah Einbinder, garnered 16 nominations before the 2024 Emmys, making it the leading contender ahead of the event.
The victory of the best comedy series went to an unexpected winner, as many experts predicted that the FX/Hulu series The Bear would reign over the category for the second consecutive year.
