Halloween Horror Nights Announces Slash-Themed & Scored Haunted House Titled “Scarecrow”

For the seventh consecutive year, Slash, the renowned Guns N’ Roses guitarist recognized for his signature top hat and exceptional guitar talent, will compose an original soundtrack for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. This year, the spine-tingling music will accompany a unique haunted house themed around the rock legend himself.

Universal Studios Hollywood unveiled a unique soundtrack titled “Scarecrow: Music by SLASH” specifically composed for their haunted house attraction. As described, this soundtrack emphasizes retribution as Mother Nature exacts vengeance on past homesteaders’ misdeeds through silent, farmland scarecrows who have taken up the role of harbingers of destruction towards anyone daring to cross their path.

Slash returns to score yet another Halloween Horror Nights haunted house

For years, I’ve been an enthusiast of Halloween Horror Nights. It’s not just about enjoying the event as a spectator, but also collaborating with Universal Studios Hollywood to produce unique music that enhances the narratives of these haunted houses has been incredibly fulfilling. This year, working together with Halloween Horror Nights once again and being part of their main attractions is a tremendous honor. I can’t wait for the guests to share in the terror when they visit.

For several years, SLASH has been a significant creative collaborator, helping to produce music that has significantly enhanced the spooky atmosphere of our Halloween Horror Nights haunted houses, as stated by John Murdy, the Creative Director and Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights. Given this successful partnership, it was only natural for us to develop a series of SLASH-themed interactive experiences as part of the event. It’s an incredible privilege to be associated with Universal’s horror tradition by featuring SLASH as our headlining act.

This year’s version introduces the SLASH Bar (perched at Jurassic Cove, above Jurassic World — The Ride), a laid-back dining and drinks hub that serves an array of spooky signature cocktails such as “The Danse of the Dead” and “Beautiful Dangerous” for those who prefer alcoholic beverages. There’s also a non-alcoholic option, “SLASH’s Snakepit.” For food lovers, you can indulge in Chicken Satay Tacos, Thai Beef Tacos, and Thai Curry Tacos before ending your meal with a cake inspired by SLASH’s signature headwear to appease your sweet tooth.

To alert you, there will be a performer dressed as a stilt-walking Slash character, wearing a top hat and sporting black curly hair, stationed near the bar’s entrance. This individual is known for harassing and frightening anyone who crosses his path.

To wrap it up, Universal Studios Hollywood will launch a new vinyl record collection, featuring music from Slash’s Halloween Horror Nights over the past six years. This album will include a touching homage from Murdy as well.
