Han Solo’s Original ‘Star Wars’ Blaster Could Be Yours for a Few Million

Among the most revered movie props ever made – Han Solo’s gun from “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” – will be up for sale at an auction this June. The sale, conducted by Studio Auctions and Goldin Auctions, includes the famous DL-44 blaster, which could potentially fetch a price tag of up to $3 million USD.

In this account, it’s thought that the surviving blaster from the 1977 “Star Wars” movie is the sole fully intact one, having made it through production. This prop weapon was skillfully created by set decorator Roger Christian, with a rugged gunslinger style in mind for Harrison Ford’s character, inspired by traditional Western films.

Before now, a Han Solo blaster similar to the one used in the films was sold for over a million dollars, but that particular piece was constructed from leftover parts many years after filming. In contrast, this recently discovered blaster has been verified as genuine and fully intact, which makes it an even more precious collectible due to its scarcity.

The blaster will go up for auction in June, as announced by Goldin; further information will be provided on March 26th.
