Harry Styles Attended Pope Leo XIV’s Historic Conclave Election

During Pope Leo XIV’s election as the successor to the late Pope Francis, Harry Styles was among the numerous spectators who were present for this momentous event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

On Thursday, I caught a glimpse of my favorite singer in the hallowed grounds of Saint Peter’s Square, the Vatican. It was an extraordinary moment that had fans like me buzzing online! In the snapshots we could see him, he was dressed casually yet stylishly, donning a blue jacket, sunglasses, and a trendy grey baseball cap.

After wrapping up his Love On Tour, Styles has been seen visiting different locations around the globe. In March, he ran a marathon in Tokyo, and in April, he started attending a running club in London.

Since completing his Love On Tour, Styles has been jet-setting to various destinations worldwide. He participated in a marathon in Tokyo last March, and then joined a run club in London the following April.

After Pope Francis passed away in April at the age of 88, Catholic cardinals selected the United States’ first pope, Robert Prevost from Chicago, who assumed the role as the 267th pope leading the Catholic Church.

A 69-year-old individual belonging to the Augustinian religious order has spent his life serving in Peru, adopting the name Leo XIV. Although there were apprehensions regarding a potential pope from the United States due to the nation’s geopolitical influence, Prevost was reportedly among the top contenders for the papacy. Notably, Prevost is a citizen of Peru and has resided in the country for an extended period.

Before the 2025 conclave, it’s said that Catholic cardinals turned to Edward Berger’s 2024 critically-acclaimed film “Conclave” for insights. According to Politico, they watched the movie as a useful resource to better understand the process of choosing a new pope.

During an interview on NBC Chicago, Pope Leo XIV’s elder brother, John Prevost, disclosed that in a pre-conclave conversation with his sibling, he inquired if he had seen the film to help him understand the appropriate behavior. Prevost went on to say, “Indeed, my brother had recently watched the movie titled ‘Conclave’.

Pope Francis, known for being the first from Latin America, passed away on April 21 following a stroke that resulted in heart failure. The upcoming conclave in 2025 will be the first one since his election to the papacy in 2013.
