‘Has has ke paagal…’: Vindu Dara Singh breaks down remembering working with Mukul Dev in upcoming film Son Of Sardaar 2

54-year-old Bollywood actor Mukul Dev, famed for his unforgettable performances in movies like Son of Sardaar, R… Rajkumar, and Jai Ho, tragically passed away on May 23rd. Before his sudden death, he had completed filming for Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn. His funeral is currently being held in New Delhi, with co-star Vindu Dara Singh in attendance. Vindu grew emotional as he reminisced about their time on set, and mentioned that viewers can look forward to a lighthearted journey thanks to Mukul’s natural comic flair.

At the funeral of Mukul Dev in Delhi, his co-star from Son of Sardaar, Vindu Dara Singh, became emotional as he reminisced about him. Reflecting on their unbreakable bond as Tony and Tito in the movie, Vindu stated, “We feel like we’ve lost half of ourselves. In Son of Sardaar, Tony (played by Mukul Dev) and Tito (played by Vindu Dara Singh) were one.

He continued by expressing, “The film wraps up on July 25. Please shower it with love; it’ll make you laugh uncontrollably. I find it hard to believe he left us so unexpectedly, but Mukul will remain in our hearts forever. He has truly excelled in Son Of Sardaar 2.”

Reflecting back on last August, I found myself in the picturesque landscapes of Scotland for a month-long shoot alongside some notable personalities. It became apparent during this time that our colleague Mukul had gained some weight. In an effort to help him get back on track, none other than Ajay Devgn took it upon himself to motivate Mukul into starting an exercise regimen. Even Sanjay Dutt couldn’t help but voice his concerns, as everyone seemed to be encouraging Mukul to prioritize his fitness. It was during this period that Mukul truly embraced the importance of regular exercise.

He stated, “He had become incredibly fit before wrapping things up, but upon returning, he gained weight due to spending most of his time at home. However, let me stress that he was an exceptionally kind, honest, and compassionate individual. I urge everyone to show him lots of love.

According to an IANS report, Mukul Dev tragically passed away on May 23, 2025. His friend discovered the news and visited his home the following day. Unfortunately, the cause of his death remains undetermined at this time.
