It all began with tears.
Jimmy Kimmel, on his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, wept in front of a live audience the night following the November 5th presidential election. This was after he expressed a series of concerns about Donald Trump’s win, which seemed to stir up fear.
Indeed, it’s the same individual who chose not to intervene as Team Biden suppressed opposing views, employed legal tactics strategically against their political adversaries, and ultimately returned Afghanistan to Taliban control.
No tears then. And he wasn’t done blubbering.
Jimmy Kimmel appears visibly emotional, acknowledging Trump’s valid criticism towards Gavin Newsom for his progressive governance in California and Los Angeles, which has seemingly contributed to the uncontrolled wildfires.
DEI in LA’s fire department has made things worse.

Kimmel wept again upon seeing the destructive California wildfires, yet it wasn’t for the hardship experienced by the residents. Instead, his tears flowed as he remembered President-Elect Trump’s response to the disaster.
The officials who made the problem exponentially worse got a pass.
In disregard of Democratic shortcomings, his night-working companion instead targeted Trump, who held no responsibility for the fires. All Trump did was criticize local leaders and caution that their actions might cause catastrophe.

Kimmel and his team chose not to capitalize on LA Mayor Karen Bass’ significant blunder with a URL, an opportunity that could have been perfect for any mediocre satirist.
Late-night shows have only gotten worse since then.
At Trump’s inauguration ball, Elon Musk was reportedly seen giving a Nazi salute. However, this claim is utterly absurd given that Musk has consistently advocated for free speech and even recently visited a former Nazi death camp with Jewish podcaster Ben Shapiro.
This revised sentence aims to convey the same information while maintaining a natural and easy-to-read style.
1. Known for his unusual behavior, Musk openly acknowledges falling under the Autism spectrum. His actions frequently reveal this trait.
2. Musk’s quirky demeanor is well-known, and he openly identifies as being on the Autism spectrum. His behaviors often show this characteristic.
3. Musk, who has an unusual personality, openly admits to being on the Autism spectrum. His actions are a regular display of this trait.
4. Known for his unconventional behavior, Musk publicly states that he belongs to the Autism spectrum. His actions often reflect this aspect.
5. Musk’s unique personality is notorious, and he openly admits being on the Autism spectrum. His behaviors often demonstrate this trait.
The gesture in question came with this statement, “My heart goes out to you.”
Worst. Nazi. Ever.
Inform those late-night commentators who took up this unimportant issue, which was sensationalized by biased media, and turned it into a joke in their programs.
Colbert led the way.
Colbert remarked, “That certainly appeared as it was,” referring to Elon Musk’s gesture. “As for whether Musk meant to perform a Nazi salute, I can’t say for certain. He claims he is not a Nazi, but I do know that people who aren’t Nazis are mindful enough to avoid making such gestures.
He wasn’t done.
Over the past eight decades, there have been just a few acceptable gestures for an outstretched arm, you understand? These are: patting a dog, ruffling a child’s hair, and signaling a taxi. In between those two points, there lies what we call the ‘danger zone’. This is something that everyone is aware of!
How do you explain this, then?

Or this?

Despite positioning himself as more discerning among late-night liberal comedians, Jon Stewart refrained from wholeheartedly adopting the “Fake News” stance. Additionally, he chose not to ridicule those who misconstrued Elon Musk’s actions as a Nazi salute.
That’s the best we can expect from late-night “humorists” in Trump 2.0.

Prior to the election, Kimmel openly acknowledged that he found it difficult to accept a potential loss by Kamala Harris, which could be the reason behind his persistent belief in the Russian Collusion narrative.
Kimmel “rehashed” the false claim on Trump’s 20th wedding anniversary with First Lady Melania Trump, stating that the President commemorated the occasion by sharing a lengthy love letter-like post dedicated to Vladimir Putin and Russia.
Does he need an intervention or even a “facility” check-in a la Rob Reiner?
Among all the hosts, Seth Meyers is generally seen as the most politically biased. He characterized President Trump’s inauguration speech as a “disconcerting blend of foreboding fascistic tones and peculiar elements that only Donald Trump and his supporters seem to find significant.
What was so fascistic about it? Frankly, I don’t know, but it seems to be a term the Left uses carelessly without much thought or substance. The same media outlets that criticize the current administration for supposed “Fascism” overlooked similar authoritarian actions taken by the previous government, suggesting their rhetoric is more about ratings and sensationalism than genuine concern.
But what ratings?
Television shows airing during late nights are experiencing a downturn. Notably, “The Tonight Show” discontinued its Friday episodes towards the end of last year. Additionally, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” has had to eliminate its in-house band due to financial constraints.
The shows collectively draw a fraction of the revenue they once did.
Despite being a newer addition to the format, Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” consistently outperforms its competitors in ratings. However, it’s important to note that Greg Gutfeld’s show airs at 10 p.m. ET on cable television, which typically has fewer viewers compared to broadcast channels.
Despite it being just January, late-night television seems to have sunk to unprecedented depths. Could this potentially drive away their dedicated progressive audience?
Stay tuned.
