- Hearthstone season 8 is here, featuring a new mechanic, hero and more!
- Trinkets are passive power ups that you can grab on turns six and nine
- Meanwhile new hero Marin the Manager lets you grab an addition trinket one turn early
As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for card games, I must say that Hearthstone’s Season 8 has piqued my interest! The introduction of Trinkets as passive power-ups and the addition of Marin the Manager as a new hero is a refreshing twist to the game.
Approximately a month has passed since Hearthstone introduced its significant update, Perils in Paradise. If you had concerns about the game abandoning its tropical vacation motif, relax! Season 8 of Hearthstone is now available, bringing new mechanics, cards, and other elements. Let’s explore what’s being included with this fresh season.
Initially, let me share some exciting news about the latest feature: Trinkets! These passive abilities can be purchased with the in-game currency and will benefit you throughout your gaming session. You’ll get two chances to grab one on turns six and nine, with a selection of four trinkets out of a total of 116 unique options. The trinkets provided will be tailored to suit your hero, minions, and even your Warband, ensuring you always receive something valuable.
Additionally, the trinkets play a pivotal role in our latest hero, Marin the Manager. Should you desire exclusive deals, rest assured that she’s equipped to deliver, as she allows you to obtain an additional trinket one turn ahead of schedule! This, coupled with 27 fresh minions, 18 reappearing minions, and 2 novel tavern spells!
Stone in the sword
Despite not being heavily involved with Hearthstone (it’s more my Yugioh-loving friends who delve deep into it), I can still admire the significant updates this time around. I imagine many of you might be relieved that powerful features like trinkets are only temporary additions for now.
Furthermore, should you require additional convincing, our assessment of The Darkside Detective is highly favorable! This title harks back to the classic point-and-click genre, blending eerie, immersive gameplay elements with a delightfully absurd and humorous tone.
