Jason Shah on the stressful environment on the Heeramandi set
In an interview with Bollywood Now, Jason Shah shared that he used to work for three days straight and then take extended breaks. He mentioned that this issue became more complicated due to the absence of a clear-cut vision. Additionally, he expressed his belief that Cartwright was a straightforward character who seemed to be lashing out at everyone based on what he had perceived from the script.
Shah explained that his work schedule wasn’t consistent; it was more like on-again, off-again. He worked intensely for three days straight, only to be away from the set for the next three weeks. This instability left him feeling disoriented and unable to fully immerse himself in the character. Over an extended period, the unique aspects of each day began to influence his portrayal in unintended ways.
At the same time, Netflix hosts Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.” acting in it are Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman.
