Henbo Henning and Dave's New York Debut Third Collaboration, Announce Live Screen-Printing Event

As a lifelong New Yorker who’s seen the city evolve from a bustling metropolis to a vibrant melting pot of cultures and ideas, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of excitement when iconic local brands like Dave’s New York team up with artists like Henbo Henning. Their latest collaboration is a testament to the unique spirit of the city, blending classic workwear aesthetics with the whimsical charm of Henbo’s animal characters.

As a gamer, I’ve got a rich history with Henbo Henning and Dave’s New York – we go way back, having teamed up four years ago in 2021, then again in 2023, and long before that on a personal level since Henning has been a loyal fan of the iconic Big Apple workwear store. Now, we’re strengthening our bond with our third collaborative apparel collection and an exciting live screenprinting event.

In their initial and subsequent joint projects, Henning and Dave developed a distinctive visual style using iconic animal figures from New York legends, ranging from ubiquitous pigeons to the legendary King Kong. These creatures reappear in two fresh designs for this collection: “Kong Smash,” which depicts the Dave’s x Henbo gorilla breaking through a wall while donning the Dave’s storefront as a T-shirt, and “Big D Construction,” where a blend of Henbo’s characters are working on the retro “D” logo of Dave’s New York.

On Saturday, October 19, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Dave’s New York located at 581 6th Ave, NY, NY, 10011, Henbo will conduct a screenprinting workshop in conjunction with the release of their collection. During this event, you can select any item from Dave’s New York and have either of the provided graphics printed on it. For those who cannot attend, don’t worry! Four color variants – two shades of blue, black, and white – will be available for purchase both online and in-store after the event.
