Previously, TopMob broke the news that Paresh Rawal was being sued for 250 crore rupees by the production team behind Hera Pheri 3, due to his decision to leave the project. Now, it has been verified by Akshay Kumar’s production company, Cape of Good Films LLP, through an official statement. The production company declared that Rawal had officially agreed to the film by accepting a portion of his salary, which amounted to 11 lakh rupees.
Subsequently, he recorded more than three minutes of video for the film’s teaser and collaborated on creative ideas and planning with fellow actors Kumar and Suniel Shetty. During this time, it was reported by The Times of India that Mr. Rawal did not express any concerns about creative aspects during this phase of production, according to his legal team handling the case.
The production company’s announcement further stated that “Paresh only decided to leave the project later, claiming unspecific creative disagreements as his reason. This decision came after substantial investments and scheduling promises had already been made. The producers view this explanation as a last-minute fabrication, designed to cause the most damage to a cherished film series and undermine its positive reputation.
Due to his unexpected departure without a valid reason, which resulted in significant financial losses for the company, disrupted our plans, and potentially halted the progress of the film, the company is seeking a compensation of approximately Rs 25 crores for the damage caused.
The team stated that if the OMG actor doesn’t meet our request within a week, we may have no choice but to resort to legal measures, both civil and criminal.
Additionally, it’s been pointed out that the film studio can pursue an injunction and may personally sue the lead actor if he causes damage to fellow actors, the director, or external parties associated with the project as a result of his sudden and individual decision to withdraw.
