People are still finding it hard to accept that Paresh Rawal (also known as Baburao) is no longer part of Hera Pheri 3, as the legal dispute between him and the production house led by Akshay Kumar has officially begun. Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty commented on Rawal’s departure from the comedy film and also shared his son Ahan’s response to this news.
Reflecting on my latest chat with The Lallantop, I shared my heartfelt camaraderie and bond with Akshay Kumar over the years. One particular memory that stands out is our recent shoot for Hera Pheri 3. This project left me utterly ‘astonished’ by Paresh Rawal’s departure.
I expressed that working together felt like we were back with Priyadarshan after 25 years, despite the passage of time, the chemistry, mutual understanding, and give-and-take were just incredible. That’s why I find myself in a state of ‘astonishment’ when Paresh ji himself announced that he wouldn’t be part of the film, for whatever reason, it certainly took me by surprise.
The seasoned performer expressed that the experience held immense thrill not just for him personally, but also for Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, their loved ones, and supporters alike. He further shared anecdotes about his son, Ahan Shetty, who was particularly intrigued by Rawal’s departure from the project.
In my expertise, I’d express it as, “Today, I received a clipping that Ahan had sent me along with the question, ‘Dad, what’s going on? Why?’ If he were out, it seems he took notice and wanted to know more.
Exclusively through TopMob, we shared the information that Akshay Kumar’s film production company, Cape of Good Films, has served a lawsuit against Rawal, demanding compensation of approximately 250 crores (Rs 25 crore) due to his unprofessional actions, which negatively impacted their investment in the movie.
A few days passed, and on Sunday (May 25), Paresh Rawal replied to the legal notice he received, stating through his lawyer, Ameet Naik, that he had submitted a suitable response addressing his lawful termination and departure. Once they have read his response, all disputes should be resolved.
In terms of his career, Suniel will soon appear in “Welcome to the Jungle,” a movie helmed by Akshay Kumar. This action-packed film, under the direction of Ahmed Khan, is set to hit theaters towards the end of this year.
Are you still hopeful of Paresh Rawal’s return to Hera Pheri 3?
