The upcoming movie “Phir Hera Pheri 3,” starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty, is one of the eagerly anticipated franchises in Bollywood. Previously, about three years ago, Kartik Aaryan was confirmed to be a part of this franchise, causing quite a stir online. More recently, an older actor clarified that the role was intended for another story and Akshay Kumar was supposed to join them instead.
In conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Paresh Rawal disclosed that during earlier discussions, Kartik Aaryan was indeed cast for Hera Pheri 3. However, the current narrative has changed and the project is now under the direction of Priyadarshan.
He explained, “It was a distinct tale at that time, and he was cast as the character ‘Raju’, although he was a unique portrayal. The story I’m familiar with is this part of it; I had not heard the full narrative.
The actor from Hera Pheri 3 made it clear that Kartik’s character is not like Raju, and originally, Akshay Kumar was meant to be a part of the trio. The experienced actor confidently stated that if circumstances had been different, Akshay would have definitely joined them. Lastly, he emphasized that Kartik Aaryan is not featured in the third installment of the comedy series.

During the same interview, the actor from OMG also disclosed an important piece of news regarding the film’s production timeline. He mentioned that it is anticipated for the shooting to commence sometime between August and September 2025, but only after that date.
Significantly, earlier this year in January, in response to Akshak Kumar’s special birthday message, Priyadarshan publicly declared the upcoming film Hera Pheri 3.
