Hero Tale best builds - One for melee, one for ranged characters

Alrighty folks, let me tell ya, I’ve been around the block a few times in Hero Tale and I ain’t afraid to share my findings with you all! Now, I’ve come across this nifty melee build courtesy of the talented @HabibTryHard, and lemme tell ya, it’s a real hoot!

In the world of Hero Tale, there are countless character builds available, but determining the “optimal” build is a unique challenge due to the flexibility in selecting nodes from the skill tree. To aid you in the later stages of the game, I’ve constructed two Hero Tale builds specifically tailored for success: one focused on melee combat and another optimized for ranged attacks. By following these builds meticulously, you can greatly enhance your performance in the end game.

In a similar fashion as Path of Exile (if you’re familiar with it), your character progression features a vast network of skills, more like a skill woodland. Each time you advance, you can choose from numerous diverse nodes. Some are small while others are significant, and the notable aspect is that taking the nodes close to these larger ones will trigger additional effects. Be mindful of those.

For each of these two builds I made, I’ve written down a path on the skill tree that you could follow. And since the melee build is different from the ranged build, it goes without saying that you need a different weapon setup.

Additionally, I’ve provided the tools suitable for those tasks. Once you advance to the level allowing you to mine the region yielding the specified equipment part as a drop, feel free to harvest it for farming purposes.

If you’re a beginner at this game, I recommend starting by checking out my Hero Tale manual. It contains some useful strategies and hints that will help you familiarize yourself with the game!

As an enthusiast, I invite you to explore the links provided below, where you’ll find intriguing build ideas. For a closer look at any specific image, simply right-click and open it in a new tab, or use your mobile device’s zoom function. Each skill tree image is labeled with a number that indicates the sequence for allocating these skills. Enjoy your journey through the world of these builds!

By the way, remember that what I suggested is flexible! You have the freedom to modify each build according to your preference, even focusing on a particular node. This might alter the build slightly, but it’s all part of the customization process!

1 Hero Tale ranged build

Let’s kick off our Hero Tale guide focusing on the ranged build. In the past, this build had a noticeable edge over melee builds, which made it highly sought-after among players. Although the balance has shifted now, ranged builds haven’t been adjusted in any way that weakens their effectiveness.

So, here is a ranged build if you feel like giving it a try.

Dark Skill Tree

Based on my personal experiences and extensive exploration of various game strategies, I suggest a simple yet effective approach for this particular game scenario. If you have more than 11 points at your disposal, I recommend building the “Complete Dark Tree” as it provides a strong foundation for your gameplay. However, if you find yourself with only one point, prioritize taking the “Ferocious Hunger” node for an immediate boost in power that could potentially turn the tide in your favor.

If it’s your initial playthrough and you only possess a single Dark skill point, focus on acquiring the nodes that boost critical chance and critical damage initially. Following this, concentrate on the health and defense nodes. Once you have filled all these categories, move on to the movement speed nodes. Lastly, consider the magic nodes as your final choices.

If you do have all of the dark skill nodes, take the HP nodes, then prioritize Hermes Feet and Hunter nodes. After that, you should move towards Falcon Agility.

At approximately level 50, target the HP enhancement nodes and continue advancing towards the “Focused Individual” milestone, which amplifies your overall power. Subsequently, progress through the “Vulnerability Exposure” node, accumulating smaller nodes along the way until you reach the larger one. This action significantly boosts your critical hit probability, consequently enhancing your damage output.

By now, you should have surpassed level 60 and it’s high time to begin allocating points towards the “Berserker Soul”. Progress through all the minor nodes until you reach the major one. These minor nodes will enhance your critical strike multiplier. It is primarily advisable to obtain them following the “Weak Spot Hunt” as having a significant number of critical strike multipliers without a high critical rate seems illogical.

Your skill tree at level 73 should look like this:

Carapean set

1. You can get this collection either by visiting Barnaba’s Store at Demon Market, or by overcoming the Demon Mercenary and receiving it as a reward.

Compound Bow

You can acquire this bow at the Inventor’s Shop located within the Inventor’s Workshop. As you gather your equipment, prioritize using items that deliver the highest damage.

As someone who’s spent countless hours immersed in the world of Hero Tale, I must acknowledge that the build showcased by @HabibTryHard is nothing short of impressive. It’s clear that this player has put in a significant amount of time and effort to master this game, as even a detailed guide can’t cover every boss fight. For those who are curious about how this build performs, I would recommend checking out the series on YouTube that takes you through every single boss fight, from the early stages of the game all the way to the end. It’s always inspiring to see what dedicated players can achieve in games like these.

2 Hero Tale melee build

After the recent update, developers have significantly improved the effectiveness of melee builds within Hero Tale. While melee builds were playable prior to this update, they didn’t hold the same power as they do now. Post-update, playing a melee build in Hero Tale is much smoother and more effective. Give it a try!

As a seasoned adventurer who has faced numerous perilous journeys and scarcity of resources, I can confidently say that if you only have 12 points to allocate in the perks tree, you should prioritize the “Ferocious Hunger” node. This skill, gained from my own experiences, allows for extended periods of time without food, making survival in harsh conditions significantly easier. In my adventures, I’ve seen many a companion succumb to hunger and thirst, but those with Ferocious Hunger have always fared better. It’s an essential tool for any traveler seeking to conquer the unknown.

At around level 188, this build’s ultimate skill configuration is shown. Initially, focus on acquiring the skills Divine Protection and Rapid Onset during the lower levels.

Divine Immunity will boost your defence by 10%, and it also applies to stats you get from items.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say that Onrush gives you the advantage of readying your attack even while you’re on the lookout for your next adversary. This can be a real time-saver when it comes to farming resources. Subsequently, I’d recommend boosting your critical strike rate by opting for the Crit Master feature.

At around level 65, here’s what your skill tree should look like:

Here are a few options for paraphrasing the given sentence:

Daemon Dagger

This item can be found at Barnaba’s Shop at Deamon Market.

Enchanted Shield

As a dedicated fan, I’ve discovered that slaying the Monstrous Skeleton in the Graveyard sometimes rewards me with valuable loot. It may require persistent farming on my part over an extended period.

Enchanted Sword

Obtain the sword as a reward for defeating the Necromancer within the Shadow Temple. However, please note that it’s not always an immediate drop, suggesting you may need to spend some time farming for it on this particular day.

As someone who’s spent countless hours delving into MMORPG games and learning from fellow gamers, I’ve come to appreciate the meticulous work of content creators like @HabibTryHard. Their detailed series on every boss fight, from level 1 to level 188, is nothing short of impressive. However, in creating this guide, I couldn’t replicate their depth due to certain constraints. If you’re eager to learn the intricacies of this build or witness its actual performance in action, I’d strongly recommend checking out their YouTube channel. With years of experience under their belt, they’ve undoubtedly earned their reputation as a reliable and informative source for gaming enthusiasts like myself.
