  • High Seas Hero is a new battleship simulation from Century Games
  • Build and upgrade your own ship, train your crew and duke it out on the high seas
  • Now in pre-registration for iOS and Android!

As someone who grew up sailing imaginary seas on my trusty Commodore 64, the news of High Seas Hero has me all atwitter! Century Games is taking me back to those glory days of piracy and high adventure with their latest pre-registration offering for iOS and Android.

Instead of living out the Kevin Costner “Waterworld” (1995) scenario due to rising sea levels and a warming climate, why not experience a nautical adventure sooner with Century Games’ latest release, High Seas Hero? The game is now available for pre-registration on Android and iOS devices!

Imagine stepping into a future just around the corner, where increasing sea levels have submerged the land. Here, you will be the captain, responsible for designing, maintaining, and upgrading your very own battle vessel. The challenge won’t only come from battling waves of adversaries and formidable bosses but also from adapting to and protecting your crew from the harsh environment itself.

Originally titled “Battleship Brawl”, it appears that “High Seas Hero” is gearing up for a complete launch in the near future, given that Century Games has recently opened pre-registration.

Frozen seas

Eagle-eyed viewers will of course recognise Century Games from their publishing of the Frostpunk-like Whiteout Survival, which takes you to an equally inhospitable climate and has you work to survive a frozen ice age. Fortunately, High Seas Hero looks to be a little less chilly, even if surviving the elements is still going to be a major factor.

I must confess, High Seas Hero captures my fancy due to its nostalgic feel, resembling as it does the classic era and Adobe Flash. The brief, enjoyable, and lighthearted titles from that time period have left an indelible mark on me, shaping what I believe are some of the finest mobile games.
