The London-based studio Holloway Li, together with Spanish design brand Uma, have recently revealed a fresh version of their distinctive “T4 Sofa”. This new version boasts a vibrant red PVC fabric covering.
In partnership with accessories brand CAHU, the cushioned parts of the T4 model are now upholstered in the waterproof fabric commonly found on their iconic tote bags.
The vibrant red tone harmoniously complements the slightly creamy color reminiscent of Cream Soda, that coats the fiberglass casing – a combination that ensures this sofa is adaptable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Ever since it debuted in 2022, the T4 chair has established itself as a design icon of the future. Holloway Li, founded by Alex Holloway and Na Li, drew inspiration for its shape from 90s nostalgia items like lava lamps and inflatable seats. The finished product is made using materials commonly used in the automotive sector.
The product line initially had four colors (Melon Yellow, Blush Pink, Overground Orange, and Cream Soda). At the Milan Design Week in 2023, an addition was introduced to this line – a sleek black variant named “Liquorice”.
After their partnership in the CAHU collaboration, Uma and Holloway Li are planning to expand the versatility of the modular seating system by introducing two additional seats and new color options: Dark Plum and Light Pink, as well as Liquorice Black paired with Cream Soda.
The T4 Sofa’s debut is scheduled for this coming Friday, March 7th, at Matter & Shape in Paris. There, you’ll find the furniture displayed within a captivating installation featuring bold, crimson-hued walls and flooring.
