’Home Alone’ and ‘Home Alone 2’ Jumps Up Disney+ Chart

As a child of the ’90s, I can’t help but feel nostalgic when I see Home Alone taking the top spot on Disney+’s Top 10 chart. Growing up, this movie was an integral part of my Christmas celebrations, and it’s heartwarming to see it still holding its ground decades later.

As a dedicated fan, it’s a joyous occasion to share that “Home Alone” has taken the top spot on Disney+’s U.S. chart, making it the go-to holiday viewing for all you “ya filthy animal” fans out there! The timeless Christmas classic managed to outshine not only the premiere of Jude Law’s “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” but also surpassed the original “Moana.” The upcoming “Star Wars” series, reminiscent of “The Goonies,” came in third, while all the buzz surrounding “Moana 2” undoubtedly helped Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s first appearance as Maui secure the No. 2 spot on the Top 10.

Several more holiday favorites made it to the Top 10 list as well, such as at No. 4, “The Polar Express“, at No. 5, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York“, at No. 6, “Mickey and the Many More Christmases“, and at No. 8, “The Santa Clause 2“. Interestingly, the action-packed movie Deadpool & Wolverine claimed the No. 7 spot on the list. Notably, both versions of “The Lion King“, from 1994 and its 2019 CGI remake, concluded the Top 10.

If you’re among those who cherish the “magical season,” but find “Home Alone” less appealing, Disney+ has an abundance of Christmas-themed content for your enjoyment. This collection includes timeless favorites such as “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Fred Claus,” “Christmas with the Kranks,” “Jingle All the Way,” and the George C. Scott-led “A Christmas Carol.” For those who can’t get enough of Kevin McCallister’s family-friendly escapades, all six films from the series are now available for streaming on Disney+.
