Neeraj Ghaywan’s upcoming second film, titled Homebound, will be headlined by Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa. It’s been confirmed that this movie will debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025. In more thrilling updates, Martin Scorsese, a renowned director from Hollywood, has come on board as an executive producer for the project.
On April 26, 2025, Homebound’s producer, Karan Johar, used Instagram to share that Martin Scorsese is joining the project as an executive producer. He posted a picture showing Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa from the movie.

I was instantly captivated by its charm and when Mélita Toscan du Plantier presented me with the opportunity to collaborate on his second film, my curiosity was piqued. The story resonated with me, the cultural aspects were intriguing, and I felt compelled to assist in bringing this masterpiece to life. Neeraj has skillfully crafted a film that not only graces but also significantly enriches the Indian cinematic landscape. I am thrilled that this movie has been selected as an official entry at Un Certain Regard in Cannes this year.
